Arriving by Car from New York:

  • Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 8A.
  • Merge onto I-95 South / New Jersey Turnpike S
  • Merge onto NJ-18 via EXIT 9 towards US-1 / New Brunswick / Princeton
  • Merge onto US-1 South toward Trenton
  • Turn Slight Left onto US-1 South
  • Turn Right onto Washington Road
  • Turn Left onto Nassau Street
  • Turn Right onto Palmer Square East.
  • Turn Right to stay on Palmer Square East.
  • End at Nassau Inn

Arriving by Car from Philadelphia:

  • Take Interstate 95 North into New Jersey, where it becomes 95/295.
  • Continue on Route 295 to Route 1 North
  • Take Exit 67 and bear left onto Route 1 North.
  • Turn Right onto Washington Road
  • Turn Left onto Nassau Street
  • Turn Right onto Palmer Square East.
  • Turn Right to stay on Palmer Square East.
  • End at Nassau Inn

Arriving by Air:

The closest and most accessible airport to Princeton University is the Newark International Airport. There are several possible ways to travel from the Newark Airport to Princeton:

  • TRAIN: Newark International Airport is served by NJ Transit on the Northeast Corridor Line. Using the Air Train (airport monorail), connect to NJ Transit for service to the Princeton Junction train station (towards Trenton). The current fare is $13.25 one-way, and the trip lasts for about an hour. For more information see njtransit.com. You want to take the train to Princeton Junction and then change into the small train that connects to Princeton. Once there, you are literally inside the University's campus. Just ask how to get to the Nassau Inn. It is no more than a 5 minute walk.
  • AIRPORT SHUTTLE: The airport shuttle can take you to the Princeton University campus. The current fare is $51 two-way, and the trip lasts for about an hour. For more information see goairporter.com.

Arriving by Train:

The closest train station to the University and the Nassau Inn is Princeton, on the Northeast Corridor Line. You want to take the train to Princeton Junction and then change into the small train that connects to Princeton. Once there, you are literally inside the University's campus. Just ask how to get to the Nassau Inn. It is no more than a 5 minute walk. Trains to Princeton leave New York City's Penn Station and Philadelphia's 30th Street Station regularly.
